All-new Honda Elevate to go on sale in February

Discover innovation at its peak with the all-new Honda Elevate at Motus Honda.

The Honda Elevate will further expand Honda’s SUV offering when it goes on sale in  South Africa in February. This all-new model is based on the same platform as the popular Ballade and will replace the WR-V nameplate in South Africa.

The Elevate measures 4 312mm and has a wheelbase of 2 650mm, making it quite a bit larger than the outgoing WR-V and similar in size to the HR-V. Ground clearance is a respectable 220mm, which is more than adequate for light off-road adventures. In terms of styling, the Elevate is the perfect symphony of bold, masculine and confident.

Under the bonnet is the same 1.5 litre naturally aspirated engine that does duty in the Ballade, which offers 89kW and 145Nm. Power is transferred to the front wheels via a six-speed manual transmission or a CVT.

The progressive cabin of the Elevate is designed to offer a modern and premium experience which appeals to aspiring mindsets, equipped with advanced features that make every drive delightfully immersive. The premium cabin provides a relaxed and progressive atmosphere. A spacious interior allows all passengers to indulge in comfort with plenty of legroom and ample headroom.

Boot space measures a commendable 458 litres, again making the Elevate a perfect choice for budding adventurers.

While local specification is yet to be confirmed, in other markets the Elevate is sold with a seven-inch digital instrument cluster, a centrally mounted 10.25-inch touchscreen with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto functionality and a rear parking camera.

Driver assistance features that are available include adaptive cruise control, lane departure warning and automatic high-beam assist along with six-airbags, ABS with EBD, vehicle stability assist and hill start assist. Honda Sensing is an Advanced Driver Assistance System designed to ensure safe driving by minimising the risk of accidents or intervening to lessen the severity of a collision.

Peace of mind comes naturally with state of the art active and passive safety features including six airbags, an added layer of dual front i-SRS, front seats i-side and side curtain airbags.
